What is Budget Monitoring?

Morphio pulls the daily spend from your connected ad platforms such as Google Ads and Facebook Ads and compares the actual spend against your target budget. Budget Monitoring gives you a break down of all of your media budgets by advertising platform and alerts you to help avoid overspending or underspending.

Budget Monitoring can be found in a Morphio account in the left-hand side navigation menu by clicking “Monitor” and then “Budgets”.

Enhanced Budget Monitoring

What is it?

Enhanced Budget Monitoring keeps track of a group of campaigns from one ad platform or a group of campaigns from multiple ad platforms.

Our standard budget monitoring allows you to set a monthly budget for an ad platform and then tracks actual media spend from that platform through a month and lets you know if it’s over or under budget.

Our enhanced budget monitoring will allow you to pick and choose campaigns from different ad platforms, set a total budget for that group of campaigns, and track whether it’s over or under budget throughout the timeframe of the campaign.

Q: How does Morphio monitor the pace of actual media spend vs the target spend goal that is set by the user? 

A: Morphio uses the following three checkpoints:

  • Fixed date range1. At the halfway point (50%) of the fixed date range, Morphio checks that 40% of the budget has been spent2. At 80% of the fixed date range, Morphio checks that 70% of the budget has been spent3. At the end of the date range, Morphio checks that the media spend is within 1% of the goal that the user-defined.

How does Morphio monitor the pace of actual media spend vs the target spend goal that is set by the user?

Morphio uses the following three checkpoints:

For Fixed date ranges:

1) If the actual media spend is under or over at the above checkpoints (40%, 80% or 1%) Morphio creates an anomaly to alert the user.

2) At 80% of the fixed date range, Morphio checks that 70% of the budget has been spent.

3) At the end of the date range, Morphio checks that the media spend is within 1% of the goal that the user-defined.

Or If the actual media spend is under or over at the above checkpoints (40%, 80% or 1%) Morphio creates an anomaly to alert you of the overage.
